KAAP Advocacy Day – February 12

8:15 AM – Meet at the Capitol
We will meet on the ground level of the Capitol and then proceed to the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee.

We are honored to hear from:

• Chairwoman Gossage, Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee

• Chairman Carpenter, House Health and Human Services Committee

Parking & Entrance Information
There is an underground parking garage located on 8th Street (runs east and west). The garage can be difficult to locate as it is not clearly marked. If you are unable to find the garage, metered street parking is available around the Capitol.

The public entrance to the Capitol is located on the north side of the building on the ground floor.

Lunch & Legislative Engagement
We will follow up with lunch at Iron Rail (7th and S Kansas) where we will continue discussions with legislative leadership, including Chairwoman Gossage and Chairman Carpenter.

1:30 PM – House Health and Human Services Committee
We will attend the House Health and Human Services Committee meeting together.

We strongly encourage attendees to schedule meetings with their legislators while at the Capitol to discuss the importance of addiction treatment services and funding priorities in Kansas.
